About

* Please note that on the day of health fair we will be providing free screenings to some of the employees so everyone can see how we work and what we offer.*

We’ve loved every minute of our journey and like to keep things simple for our patients”

Total Life Commitment offers Health and Wellness screening services to municipal entities like Fire Departments, Police Departments, Unions and other employee groups, as well as to corporations of all sizes; presented as a low-cost employee benefit. We can meet your organization’s requirements and provide a custom set of screening test. The ultrasound screenings can be customized to fit the requirements of your department or corporation insurance provisions. The plan will be different for different people depending on their risk factors and age; but, being proactive is key. We can help design a package which typically include the tests that would be most beneficial to a majority of workers. If you are including the employee’s spouses and family, you may want to have additional screenings that fit their needs. Our screenings create an avenue for your employees and/or members to recognize the importance of educating themselves on this type of health and wellness program. With this knowledge they become empowered and encouraged to proactively take control of their health and wellness.

TLC can arrange for our technicians to come to your location and perform the required screening assessments minimizing the inconvenience to your operation or employees.

The TLC Corporate Wellness Program provides early identification of people who have, or are likely to have chronic diseases that can be managed earlier. By intervening early and preventing chronic disease progression, your organization can have healthier employees and save money!

TLC’s proprietary program imparts knowledge to consumers regarding their risk for vascular disease and empowers them to take charge of their vascular health to lessen their risk for having a heart attack or stroke. The TLC business model is based on the premise that the American health care delivery system is in the early stages of a major transformation in which much more attention will be focused on the prevention of illness. Today, Americans are more worried about their health because of the enormous amount of information now available through the media and Internet. Employers are underwriting preventive screening procedures to reduce health care costs and lost time as a result of employee illness.

TLC has created a unique and significant business opportunity for a consumer based, preventive health screening process and product. TLC brings an integrated, non-invasive, and inexpensive vascular exam to the marketplace at a time when the marketplace is looking for such a process.

Screening programs can identify high-risk patients

Healthcare is the largest service industry in the United States. The industry accounts for approximately $1.5 trillion in annual spending, or about one seventh of the nation’s gross domestic product (GDP). With a heart attack every 30 seconds and a stroke every 45 seconds, the economic costs of caring for patients afflicted by stroke or heart attack represents a significant portion of total healthcare expenditures in the United States. The fact that most strokes and heart attacks are preventable and occur often in asymptomatic patients has highlighted the importance of cost-effective screening programs that can identify high-risk patients before strokes or heart attacks occur

At Total Life Commitment we believe “prevention” is the best policy. We would advise everyone to be a part of a preventative health and wellness program. We think early intervention is the key to longevity!

  • Did you know carotid arteries are located on each side of your neck (right below your jaw line) These arteries are responsible for supplying oxygenated blood to the front part of your brain. This part of your brain is responsible for thinking, speech, your personality, and sensory and motor functions. Over time, fatty substances and cholesterol build upon the insides of your arteries. Your arteries become narrower, decreasing the blood flow to your brain. Interruption in blood supply to the brain causes temporary or permanent loss of movement, thought, memory, speech or sensation.
  • Did you know that early detection is the best way to find and treat an abdominal aortic aneurysm. New scanning technology has made a positive impact in early detection nearly tripling the number found each year and allowing patients an early start toward monitoring and treating this condition.
  • Did you know the thyroid gland produces hormones that are essential for normal body metabolism. Blood testing is now commonly available to determine the adequacy of the levels of thyroid hormones. No blood test will be able to tell you if the thyroid has a tumor, cyst or mass.
  • Did you know A prostate/rectal ultrasound may be used to check the size, location and shape of the prostate gland and nearby structures.
  • Did you know atrial fibrillation is an irregular and often rapid heart rate that commonly causes poor blood flow to the body. Arterial fibrillation symptoms include heart palpitations, shortness of breath and weakness. Episodes of arterial fibrillation can come and go, or may have chronic atrial fibrillation.
  • Did you know that dense breast tissue is comprised of less fat and more connective tissue which appears white on a mammogram. Cancer also appears white thus tumors are often hidden or masked by the dense tissue. As a woman ages, her breasts usually become more fatty. However, 2/3 of pre-menopausal and 1/4 of post menopausal women (40%) have dense breast tissue. Additionally, as the density of the breast increases, the risk of breast cancer also increases.
  • Did you know that echocardiogram (echo) shows the size, structure, and movement of various parts of your heart. These parts include the heart valves, the septum (the wall separating the right and left heart chambers) and the walls of the heart chambers. Doppler ultrasound shows the movement of blood through your heart.
