Society for Financial Awareness - Raleigh Chapter

The Society for Financial Awareness (SOFA) is a 501(c)(3) non profit public benefit corporation. Our mission is to provide financial education across America, one community at a time.

Our Goal at Health Fairs: We are extremely passionate about increasing financial literacy and our volunteer role with SOFA. A lack of basic knowledge in this area leads to stress that can lead to a drag on individual production and in turn a drag on company production. We want to turn this around!

• We poll participants at heath fairs regarding the areas in which they would like to improve. It could be debt and cash flow management, Social Security, Medicare, retirement planning, among many others.

• We ask if they would see value in their company providing educational workshops to help increase their understanding in these areas.

• We compile this data on a report to deliver to your HR team. With this information, you can determine if it would be beneficial to bring us in for a workshop series at NO-COST.

• Lastly, we are financial professionals and can certainly field any questions they have in the moment and beyond if desired.

Important items when we partner with companies and their HR leaders:

• We provide NO-COST educational workshops from a local Triangle CFP® practitioner.

• Some workshops can count towards SHRM PDC’s! (Society for HR Management Professional Development Credits)

• Help promote FINANCIAL LITERACY and EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT.

• ERISA protected plan? Protect yourself by offering no-recommendation/product pushing financial education to strengthen your ERISA 404(c) compliance.

• Decades of experience from CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner covering Social Security, Medicare, Debt and Cash Flow Management, Retirement Planning among many others.
