Skin Wellness Dermatology Associates is a dermatology practice located in Durham, NC founded by Dr. Brooke Jackson in 2016. 

Board- certified dermatologists Dr. Brooke Jackson and Austin Newsome offer services addressing aesthetic, medical and surgical dermatology 

Dr. Austin Newsome is a board- certified dermatologist from Durham, North Carolina. After completing her undergraduate degree at Hampton University in Hampton, VA she completed medical school and internship at the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. Before returning to ECU for dermatology residency she was involved in keloid research at the Skin of color institute at Hampton University.

Dr. Newsome has a primary clinical interest in general medical dermatology, but also enjoys surgical and cosmetic dermatology. She has provided care to a wide spectrum of patients ranging from infants to elderly, diagnosing and managing a wide range of skin conditions including rashes, melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancers, acne, pigmentary disorders, keloid scars, atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, hair loss, and more. She has experience in cosmetic procedures such as PRP for hair loss, neurotoxin and HA fillers.

She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and member of the North Carolina Dermatology Association and Skin of Color Society. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, listening to audiobooks, and cycling.
