Palmetto Southern Comfort was birthed as the owner saw the growing deficiency in the delivery of person- centered and individualized care for seniors and disabled. As baby boomers age and live longer affordable options to remain at home are limited & the cost of senior living homes is steadily increasing yet quality of care is not. Life can get busy at times and seniors/disabled often times are left feeling lonely and confined to their homes while the world goes on around them. Palmetto Southern Comfort was developed to provide care tailored to the individual needs of each person, promote independence while aging in place and increasing wellness. Disability, age or cognition should not define a person’s life.

The founder of Palmetto Southern Comfort is Ms. Rolanda Goodwin, SC licensed Long Term Care Administrator. Ms. Goodwin has over 10 years experience in the private and public senior sector. It was working through agencies such as the Department of Mental Health and Department of Disabilities grew a passion and understanding for the needs of seniors and the disabled. Seeing first hand the effects untrained caregivers, neglectful management, and paper pushing grew Palmetto Southern Comfort Home Care. Palmetto Southern Comfort is an affordable alternative that allows seniors and the disabled to remain at home while receiving individualized and compassionate care with a touch of southern hospitality.
