One Source Wellness

Rolfing® Structural Integration is a form of holistic therapy created by Dr. Ida Rolf that focuses it’s work on the connective tissues (example: fascia) of the body, and as current research shows Rolfing® also has great impacts on the nervous system, which regulates and receives information from these tissues and systems in the body.

As a Rolfer™, one holds the view that the body is composed of a series of relationships with the understanding that the body is 100% connected from head to toe, compared to only looking at individual parts or “things”. Rolfing® in this way works with these systems and perspective to address the whole human being with the intention of reducing pain, improving an individual’s capacity for movement, and the ability to adapt to the demands and stressors of everyday life.

In this work, my goal is to make sure each individual feels safe and supported, empowered by realizing current capabilities they may not know were available to them, while simultaneously teaching the body new ones, and lastly working to increase ones adaptability to handle the varying stresses of life, both physically and psychologically, because the more physically capable we are, the more mentally and emotionally capable we become as well.
