I am an RN with over 40 years of critical care experience, and have a home based business providing Reiki sessions and classes. I have been teaching Reiki since 2005 and instituted a volunteer Reiki program in my hospital in 2008. A Reiki policy and competency were developed and Reiki employee volunteers were carefully chosen for their experience and compassion for others. We have treated well over 2,000 patients as well as families and staff. I have personally seen major improvements in pain control and mood enhancement in the patient and employee population.
