Abbvie (formerly Abbott)

As a Crohn’s Patient Advocate, I provide Crohn’s education, resources and support.  This can take various shapes depending on the patients needs.  Examples of things I do include: helping a patient find a support group; helping a patient find a GI doctor if needed; and helping a patient prepare for a doctor’s appointment so s/he uses concise language when explaining symptoms and identifying care goals.  My services are free.  Also, though I work for a pharmaceutical company and Abbvie does have a Crohn’s medication on the market, I do not speak to that or any other specific drug.  My goal is simply to help a patient get to a better place with his/her Crohn’s.
