National Nutrition Month

National Nutrition Month® is a nutrition education and information campaign created annually in March by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. The campaign focuses attention on the importance of making informed food choices and developing sound eating and physical activity habits.
5 Things you can do to bring awareness to the workplace
Organize a “healthy recipe” contest among employees. Have Management judge the competition. Award with t-shirts, mugs or gift certificate from a healthy restaurant.
Organize a healthy potluck, including each of the food groups.
Highlight the healthiest meal in your on-site cafeteria. Anyone choosing that meal gets a ticket to a raffle for a future free lunch.
Host a “lunch and learn” session with a nutritionist on healthy eating.
Organize a health fair promoting healthy eating resources and critical preventive screenings.
