This provider-led presentation includes content on what stress is, how it manifests in our bodies, and ways to reduce/alleviate stress and stress symptoms.  The latter portion of the presentation provides an introduction to Acupuncture (what it is and how it works) which leads to a “Community Acupuncture” demonstration.  Community Acupuncture is appropriate for a group setting and is administered auricularly – meaning, in the ear.  The treatment is specifically designed to reduce stress, increase feelings of relaxation, and encourage a restful sleep that night!  (*For virtual sessions – an acupressure demonstration will be substituted.)

Heart Health

This physician-led presentation offers an overview on what a “cardiovascular event” is (including, but not limited to, arrhythmia, atherosclerosis, heart attack vs. heart failure, and stroke), how to evaluate risk, and healthy habits to reduce risk.  The presentation touches on nutrition, sleep, exercise, and stress specifically related to cardiovascular health.

Desk Ergonomics and In-Office Stretching

This physician-led presentation offers both preventative and reactive content regarding desk ergonomics (maximizing the spacial efficiency of a desk set-up) and stretches employees can easily do in-office to mitigate the effects of sitting all day (focus on posture support, legs, arms, wrists, hands).  The presentation is interactive in nature during the in-office stretching portion, where everyone gets up and learns together!
