The North Carolina Medical Board (NCMB) exists to protect the people of North Carolina. Our information and services can help your audience strengthen relationships with providers and become more informed healthcare consumers.

Audiences learn how to Look up a doctor or PA and how to file a complaint. Having a goal to improve health literacy among North Carolina’s consumers prompts NCMB’s staff to meet with public audiences to share helpful tips and resources.

The Medical Board protects the public by licensing qualified physicians and physician assistants and intervening to address problems when required. We want the public to be familiar with the Medical Board and use its resources when needed.
