Ligo Dojo of Budo Karate

Ligo Dojo is a 501.c.3 nonprofit organization working to strengthen the community and its youth through martial arts instruction. We offer classes from age 6 through adult six afternoons and nights per week in two locations,Durham and Chapel Hill. Although some of our kids are referrals from a dozen participating agencies, we are open to the general public and depend on this broader population to provide structure to our classes for those who come from backgrounds that lack structure. To the untrained eye, we are just like any other martial arts school, perhaps a little cheaper, perhaps with a little more emphasis on the development youth character. We offer self-defense, tournament competition for those who are interested, development of self-esteem, self-control, and self-confidence and above all a great physical workout. You will sweat! You will get stronger! You will learn skills you could use if you ever had to defend yourself.
