Health First provides Primary, Urgent, Emergent, and Pediatric care under one roof in each of our locations in Mt. Pleasant, West Ashley, N. Charleston and Summerville.
Founded by Dr. Bo Machado, our ?rst location opened in 2004. The inspiration for Health First came from a sermon at SeaCoast Church, at which point Dr. Bo set out to get rid of all the obstacles to rapid, quality, God honoring medical care that everyone hates – clipboards filled with paperwork, hours spent in waiting rooms, layers of bureaucracy, and expensive co-pays and fees. ALL BETTER. AMEN.
Today we provide our faith-based care in four locations and use our station to identify and remove suffering and oppression in the communities we serve. We currently support projects like “Be the Match” (bone marrow registry) and A21 (Abolishing Human slavery in Charleston).
