The mission of Mount Airy Community Acupuncture is to utilize our skills and experience in the art of healing to provide to our patients a balances treatment of their body, mind, and spirit. Dr. Milhan is a licensed acupuncturist in the State of North Carolina and is board certified in acupuncture by the NCCAOM. She has a Doctorate in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (DAOM) from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in Portland, Oregon. Dr. Milhan has a Master of Oriental Medicine (MOM) from TriState College in New York City. In addition, Dr. Milhan holds a doctorate of physical therapy (DPT) and has been a practicing physical therapist since 1985. Dr. Milhan believes that her training in both Western and Eastern medicine enhance each other and that the integration of these provide better patient outcomes.
