Durst Family Medicine is family practice and urgent care facility located in the heart of Sullivan’s Island. Its history of serving Lowcountry patients dates back to 1948 when Dr. George G. Durst Sr. opened his practice on Sullivan’s Island. Known as a gentleman doctor with outstanding diagnostic abilities, Dr. Durst Sr. took time to listen to his patients.
This tradition is being carried on by his son, Dr. George G. Durst Jr., and his associates – Dr. Rochelle Rutledge, and Dr. Durst Jr.’s daughter, Dr. Kay Durst. Durst Family Medicine continues to stress accessibility with extended hours, acceptance of walk-in patients and same-day appointments.
