CPM Federal Credit Union

CPM Federal Credit Union is a not-for-profit, full-service financial institution founded in 1955 by employees of the Charleston Paper Mill. We started operations in an old construction shed when the founding employees pooled their money to make affordable loans to other employees. They were on a mission to provide banking services to their fellow employees at a level of service and cost that the banks were not willing to provide.

Their mission was successful, and today CPM has grown to over $350 million in assets and we now operate 11 branches throughout South Carolina serving 56,000 members. We grew because we stayed true to the mission of our founders, and we continue to deliver service and value every day. Our mission expanded from serving the Mill employees and we now proudly serve the people who live and work in our communities throughout the State. Carolina People Matter!
